Operating an HMT Laminator
The following is a brief overview of operational steps of our Laminator System. Please see our operation manual for additional detail. |

As the substrate enters the in-feed area, glue web is applied from the glue web payout. A hot cut-off bar is then used to separate the glue from the roll. |
|
| 2 |
The laminate sheet is selected from the rack and positioned to an indexing pin. |
|
| 3 |
The substrate with the glue web is conveyed into the activation area. Infrared heatbanks flash activate the glue web while in motion. A finger switch is tripped by the advancing substrate initiating the laminate drive (LS series only). The laminate automatically meets with the advancing substrate with activated glue web. Both enter the powered pinch roller then exit to the out-feed conveyor. |
